Terms of Use

The rules for using DocuDojo: what you can do with our Word guides, intellectual property, Microsoft trademarks and the limits of our liability.

Last updated: November 2, 2026

These terms explain, in plain language, what you can do with the content on DocuDojo (https://docudojo.com) and where the limits are. Read them together with the legal notice, the privacy policy and the cookie policy.

1. Who runs this website

DocuDojo is an independent website owned by Socotropo SL, based at Av. Europa 13, 28108 Madrid (España). The full identification details are in the legal notice. If you have any questions about these terms, email hello@docudojo.com.

2. Accepting these terms

By browsing docudojo.com you agree to these terms of use. If you disagree with any part of them, the simplest option is not to use the site. There is no sign-up and no account: all the content is free and open to everyone.

3. What DocuDojo offers

DocuDojo publishes step-by-step guides, in Spanish and English, on how to use Microsoft Word, plus a glossary and a skills quiz. It is a static website: there is no user registration, no forms, no comments and no newsletter. It is funded by Google AdSense advertising, which is what keeps the guides free. Our editorial policy explains how we write, check and update each guide.

4. What you can do with the content

We want the guides to be genuinely useful at home, in class or at work. You may:

  • Read, print and save the guides for your personal, educational or professional use.
  • Share a link to any page on social media, in messages, on intranets or in training materials.
  • Quote short excerpts (a few sentences) as long as you say they come from DocuDojo and link to the original page.
  • Apply what you learn in your own documents, including those you produce for clients or your employer. What you create in Word is yours.

5. What you cannot do

Unless you have our written permission, you may not:

  • Copy a whole guide, or substantial parts of one, to publish it on another website, in a book, in a course or on any other medium, even if you translate or modify it.
  • Sell, rent or license the content, or include it in paid products.
  • Present our content as your own or remove references to DocuDojo.
  • Create copies or mirrors of the site, or display our pages inside frames on another website.
  • Use automated tools to bulk-download the site, overload the server or try to reach non-public areas of the hosting.
  • Click on the ads artificially or through automated means, or encourage others to do so.

If you would like to reuse a guide in some other way, get in touch: we usually say yes when the use is educational and the source is credited.

6. Search engines, AI and citations

Search engines and artificial intelligence systems may crawl, index and cite the content on DocuDojo. We say this explicitly: we want our explanations to reach the people looking for them, including through an AI assistant. The condition is the same as for any other quotation: attribute the content to DocuDojo and link to the source page wherever possible. Reproducing entire guides without attribution is not allowed.

7. Intellectual property

The texts, interface illustrations, glossary, quiz, design and structure of the site belong to Socotropo SL and are protected by intellectual property law. The name DocuDojo identifies this website and may not be used to suggest that someone else's product or service is connected with us. The illustrations of Word menus, dialog boxes and tabs are schematic drawings created to explain each step and are used for educational purposes only.

8. Third-party trademarks

Microsoft, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft 365 and Copilot are trademarks of Microsoft Corporation. DocuDojo is an independent site: it is not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by Microsoft. We mention its products only to explain how to use them. ChatGPT is a trademark of OpenAI; Gemini, of Google; Claude, of Anthropic. All other trademarks mentioned belong to their respective owners.

9. Educational content, not advice

The guides describe how Word works and how to get the most out of it. We check them on Microsoft 365 for Windows and add notes for Mac, but every version of Word can differ: a menu may have a different name, a shortcut may change, or a feature may not exist on your computer. For that reason we cannot guarantee that following a guide will give you a specific result.

Nothing we publish is legal, tax or professional advice. If you use Word to draft contracts, court filings or other important documents, the content of those documents and its consequences are your responsibility. Save a copy before applying formatting changes or running macros.

10. Advertising

The site displays ads through Google AdSense. The ads are chosen by Google or its partners, not by us, and they do not mean we endorse the products advertised. If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, you will see a consent banner before any advertising cookies are loaded; you can accept, reject or change your choice later through the cookie settings link in the footer. Advertising has no influence on what we write. More details in the cookie policy.

11. Preferences stored in your browser

So that the site works the way you set it up, we store in your browser (in local storage, not in cookies) your suggested language, light or dark theme, the guides you mark as completed and your quiz result. This data never leaves your device and disappears when you clear your browser data. More information in the privacy policy.

12. Links to other websites

Some guides link to external pages, such as Microsoft support articles. Those sites have their own terms, and we do not control their content or availability; a link does not mean we endorse what is on the other end.

13. Availability and limitation of liability

We provide DocuDojo as is, with no guarantee that it will be available at all times or free of errors. We may change, suspend or remove any part of the site without notice. We do our best to keep the content accurate and up to date, but we are not liable for damage that may result from using it, such as loss of data or time, except where the law does not allow that liability to be excluded. Nothing in these terms limits the rights you have under consumer protection law.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms when the site or the law changes. The date at the top of this page shows the current version; if you keep using the site after a change, we take it that you accept it.

15. Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by Spanish law. Any dispute will be heard by the courts for the owner's registered address, unless consumer protection rules say otherwise, in which case you may bring the matter before the courts where you live.

16. Contact

Questions about these terms, a request for permission to reuse content, or an error to fix? Email hello@docudojo.com. Our contact page explains what you can write to us about and how long we usually take to reply.
